In the life of a farmer, harvesting time is surely one of the most anxious times that one can ever think of. I am not an exception and looking at the prices of soybean and wheat in the market, my hopes of having a good harvest sure was a shaky one.
But I guess I am quite a lucky feller as I had a wonderful harvest and, therefore, lots of crops to sell. In fact, my older brother was thinking of throwing a party for the decent harvest we had last year.
This may sound odd because under normal circumstances, it is not an unusual thing to have a good harvest. However, the financial meltdown or whatever they call it (the things that have been coming in the front page of newspapers these days) certainly did make us think about how much were we to earn.
Now you may all think as to where does an USB drive fit in this picture. Well, it so happened that my brother and I were having a discussion about who to sell in order to earn the maximum amount of money.
We were looking up on the web when suddenly the lights went out. But the USB modem that my brother had solved the problem by hooking itself up to the laptop that he had and what you know...we finally managed to find the best seller for selling the crops too.
A simple confession from a simple farmer: There was a time when I was quite against electronic gadgets but I guess that I'm also changing.
